Tim Foot – CNC Laser Cutter & Press Brake Estimator/ Operator
Tim has many years of experience in the Engineering industry. He completed over 4 years or UCOL engineering courses, then moved to Mig welder in steel industry and gained 5 years’ experience with welding tickets. He then did some draftsman’s work, drawing up profiles for a magic eye, oxy acetylene profile cutter.
Tim has been involved in the laser cutter industry for over 20 years, producing CAD cutting profiles, and has programmed 5 different types of CNC machines during this time as listed below:
- Laser flatbed cutting, programming Trumpf CO2 lasers 3030, 3050, Bystronic Fibre, Amada Laser and at Bruntons the Hans Fibre cutter
- Tube laser cutter, mainly programming but also operating the Trumpf TruLaser tube cutter when required
- Press brake, CNC programming using Trumpf, Bystronic, Amada and at Bruntons Durma brake press machines
- Turret punching machines, programming for a Trumpf and Amada turret punches
- Waterjet cutting, Omax 2060 machine, I have programmed this machine too
Tim’s interests include watching speedway, going away for weekends in his camper and old motorbikes.
